함도윤은 발레를 전공하면서 발레 움직임의 특성을 익혔고, 뮤지컬과 영화로 활동 반경을 넓히면서 신체적 표현 방식을 확장했다. 다양한 예술 활동 궤적에 따라 습득한 비언어적, 언어적 표현 어법을 본인만의 스타일로 재구성해 대중에게 선보이고자 2020년 아함아트프로젝트를 설립, 장르와 표현의 가능성을 제한하지 않는 창작 활동을 하고 있다. 주로 텍스트와 이미지에서 출발하여 일상과 비일상 속 모든 움직임이나 장면을 포착해 무대 위로 올리는 총체 예술을 선보이고 있다. 누구나 느껴봤을 법한 인간의 '보편적인 감정'에 집중하지만, 겪어보지 못한 사건(경험)이나 안무가의 개인적 이야기도 누구나 경험해봤을 이야기들에 비유한다. 특히 연극적인 구성과 직접적인 표현, 그리고 강한 시각적 연출이 특징인 무대를 선보이면서 관객과의 거리감을 줄이고 감각적인 몰입을 이끌어내는 데 주력하며, 장르의 경계를 유연하게 넘나드는 입체적 무대 언어를 구축하고 있다. HAM Doyoun, originally trained in ballet, developed a deep understanding of its physical language before expanding his expressive range through work in musical theatre and film. Drawing on this diverse artistic background, he restructured both verbal and non-verbal forms of expression into a distinctive choreographic style. In 2020, he founded AHAM ART PROJECT with the vision of creating works unrestricted by genre or form, embracing the full spectrum of artistic possibility. His creative process often begins with text or imagery and evolves into total stage works that reinterpret everyday and extraordinary movements and moments. While his choreography frequently centers on universal human emotions that anyone can relate to, it also draws from personal experiences or unfamiliar events, reframing them through metaphors that resonate with collective memory. Ham is known for theatrical structures, direct expression, and visually striking staging that fosters emotional immediacy and sensory immersion. His work crosses genre boundaries to build a multidimensional stage language, always seeking to narrow the distance between performer and audience.
